For
over 95 years, the Farmington Valley Visiting
Nurse Association has provided compassionate, high-quality healthcare
to individuals and families of the Farmington Valley. Working with
doctors, hospitals, insurance companies and managed care providers,
the VNA continues its proud tradition of dedication and care, delivering
a wide array of home and community-based healthcare services to
meet the ever changing demands of a challenging future.
Mission:
 Farmington Valley VNA is a non-profit, Medicare certified, State licensed
and JCAHO accredited home health agency and Hospice, which celebrated
95 years of community service in 2003. The Farmington Valley VNA
serves residents of nineteen communities in the Farmington Valley
area. Our organization is one of only a few remaining freestanding,
independent visiting nurse associations which is not owned or operated
by a hospital or other health care system. The essence of the VNA’s
philosophy is that no one is turned away due to the lack of insurance
coverage, inability to pay, or other hardship. While many agencies
may refuse care for certain patients, or drop patients after reaching
a certain cost threshold, Farmington Valley VNA has not compromised
its standards and continues to accept patients who would otherwise
require costly institutional care, or be turned away with no services.
The VNA serves residents in the Farmington Valley through its main
office located in Simsbury with satellite offices located in Canton,
Farmington and Granby. The office is operated with community-based
staff and services, assuring personalized care.
